Charlie’s Caribbean Cuisine

 

Charlie’s Caribbean Cuisine is a place I suspect many people drive by, and never stop in.

It’s common for people to judge a book by it’s cover…

If you’ve ever been near Hurontario & Dundas, In Mississauga, you know that it’s an area that’s run down.

But, I’ve always enjoyed going to places that maybe most would not.

I don’t care what a restaurant looks like on the outside.

I care about  the quality of the food, quantity can be good too and friendly knowledgeable staff.

Charlies’s nails all the things that matter to me, plus they play amazing music…

I’ve been there a few times and all because my roomie loves “doubles”

if you like Chickpeas, you need to try their doubles. They are the best doubles in the GTA, add the tamarind sauce…and kaboom…

Outstanding…

 

if you like fish…get the Saltfish Cakes…off the wall yummy…

I decided for my main entree, I wanted Roti…and I picked the Curried Channa (chickpeas)

This was my favorite part of my meal, I swear this thing was 3 pounds…

Combine it with authentic Island made Cream Soda (notice it’s clear, no dyes)

 

All in all, great Island food, nice staff, nice music, easy on the wallet…big portions…yeah… I dig this place…and so should you…
